Falkenberg Strandbad is located by Skrea beach in Falkenberg, about one hour south of Gothenburg. The hotel dates back to 1937 when the first building was constructed in functionalist style with panoramic sea-facing windows. After fires in 1958 and later, the hotel was rebuilt in several stages. The current facility was completed in 1992 and operates as a commercial resort.

Offerdal quartzite is used as flooring both indoors and outdoors in the pool areas. The material was chosen for its non-slip properties and durability in high-moisture environments with temperature fluctuations.
